Under the new law, adults age 21 and older can possess a maximum of two ounces outside the home. You can legally possess more than two ounces inside your home, but it “must not be visible from a public place,” so discretion is key.

Here are things you should know about the new law: Those 21 and older are allowed to openly possess 1.5 ounces of cannabis and an additional 5 ounces of cannabis in a locked container. Wherever you are allowed to smoke tobacco, you are permitted to use cannabis if you are 21+. You cannot grow your own (yet).
