The Core Cannabis Museum invites guests to engage with the insanity and inequity of American drug policy through a series of changing exhibits. For over a century, cannabis has been used as a weapon to divide people and cultures. Core aims to resist division by promoting cannabis as the inherent unifier that it is. We believe that a new generation that is unified rather than divided can reasonably consider the human relationship with substances to create coherent drug policy in America.
Current Exhibition:

SEED 2 SOUL

Seed 2 Soul takes visitors on a journey through the lifecycle of the cannabis plant. From the moment a seed is dropped into the earth, through the cultivation, drying, and extraction processes, and into the human endocannabinoid system.

Make sure to take some time to reflect in our Trichome Room, an immersive journey to the microscopic magic of the cannabis plant.

Past Exhibition:

AMERICAN WARDEN

American Warden urges guests to scrutinize incarceration in America against the backdrop of cannabis prohibition. While many states have now legalized or decriminalized cannabis, the number of arrests for possession and distribution are still alarmingly high and thousands of humans are currently incarcerated for cannabis related offenses. These facts are disturbingly juxtaposed against the multibillion-dollar cannabis industry that currently benefits industry giants as well as state and federal tax authorities.

MEET VASCO!

Vasco has a rare congenital condition called Vascular Ring Anomaly, which restricts his esophagus and makes it nearly impossible to swallow food. Without expensive corrective surgery, he faces a lifetime of pain, malnutrition, and the constant risk of aspiration. The surgery is expensive, but the more time we spend with Vasco, the more difficult it becomes to put a price tag on his life.

Despite his condition, Vasco is full of life. His joy is contagious and his situation has reminded our team of dog lovers just how important the bond between humans and canines can be. In recognition of our devotion to these remarkable animals and prompted by Vasco’s indomitable spirit, we are pleased to launch the Core Cannabis Museum’s new initiative, THE PAWS PROJECT.

The Paws Project

THE PAWS PROJECT MISSION

The Paws ProjectThe Core Cannabis Museum was created to bring attention to a marginalized and persecuted population: Cannabis Consumers. Through education, evolving exhibitions, and community outreach, we have worked to bring voice to this population. Now, thanks to Vasco, we’re expanding our mission to include direct support for our Cannabis Consuming Family by preserving the indescribable bond between pets and owners.

The Paws Project aims to create a support system for the most vulnerable of our cannabis community—those navigating medical conditions, hospitalization, or incarceration for cannabis. During these moments, the responsibilities of pet care can become overwhelming or impossible. Dogs can end up in shelters or lost in the system. We’re building a bridge of compassion that provides temporary foster care, food, and veterinary assistance to cannabis consumers who need help holding onto their pets.

When people are at their most vulnerable, their animals often suffer silently beside them. As cannabis consumers and dog lovers, we understand the importance of this bond. We’ve been there—consuming cannabis, looking into the eyes of our dogs, feeling unconditionally loved and understood by these devoted, telepathic souls. We hope The Paws Project can keep those bonds intact—through crisis, recovery, and everything in between.

YOUR DONATION HELPS US:

  • Fund Vasco’s $15,000 life-saving surgery and recovery
  • Provide pet food and veterinary care for cannabis consumers in crisis
  • Match dogs with temporary foster homes while their humans heal
  • Build a public system so people can request help
  • Grow a movement that keeps pets and people connected, even through hardship

Whether you give $5 or $1,000, your support directly funds urgent veterinary care, supplies, and foster placement for dogs like Vasco.

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING

The Paws Project is rooted in one simple truth: no one should have to say goodbye to their dog because they’re sick, in treatment, or caught in a system that wasn’t built to support them.

Vasco reminded us why we do this. Let’s make sure his story becomes the first of many. Please share this campaign with your community. Every share helps bring in new eyes, new support, and new hope. If you believe in protecting love, loyalty, and the bond we share with our animals—this is your chance to act.

Thank you for being part of it.
